PRODUCTION: The Chosen, Season 5

UNION STATUS: Non-Union

BACKGROUND CASTING DIRECTOR: Ben Cummins

APPLICATION DEADLINE: As soon as possible - Applications will remain open through the run of the shoot.

SEEKING: Individuals ages 8-95. We seek a broad variety of background actors who resemble the cultures and ethnicities represented within the scriptural account, namely: Hebrew, Hasidic, Roman, Greek, Egyptian, and others of Middle Eastern/Southern European/North African origin. Generally, we seek individuals with darker hair and eye color, olive or brown skin tone, the ability to grow a beard (for men), and shaggy-to-longer hair in general. No contemporary styles, please.

AVAILABLE ROLES:

• Children/Teens - Male and Female, ages 8-18, medium or dark complexions; shaggy-to-longer hair preferred
• Roman Soldiers - Male, age 18+, any ethnicity
• Shepherds - Male and Female, ages 18-70, rough, nomadic, darker skin weathered by the desert sun
• Jerusalem Marketplace Patrons - Male and Female, ages 18-70, Hebrew, Hasidic, Middle Eastern looking
• Pharisees/Sadducees - Male, age 25+, Long beards required

LOCATION: Goshen, Utah

SHOOT DATES: Weekdays, April 11-May 16, 2024

RATE: $100/10-hour Day

NOTE: Participants of all backgrounds and beliefs are encouraged to apply.

We are casting all background roles from photo submissions. Please make sure the photos are taken in good light, in focus, and with no obstructing accessories such as sunglasses, hats, etc.
